Touchless car washes, car washes with the brush and trigger gun, and even chain car washes are VERY bad for your paint. How so?
Touchless car washes do not truly get your car clean, nothing touches the car to get the dirt off. Water gets the heavy dirt and grime off, but does not get it completely clean.
Using the brushes at car washes and going to big chain car washes have another problem. They scratch your paint! How often do you think they clean and change those brushes? They clean car after car....
The brushes trap dirt and scratch your paint, not mention they are made of a material that really can scratch the paint even when brand new. Look at your car in the sun, or many others on the road for that matter.
Notice what seems to be thousands of little scratches? They are called swirl marks. It comes from scratching the paint, and it comes from improper washing and/or drying.
Using brushes at the car wash, or going through a popular car wash scratches the paint. Maybe you wash the car yourself, and used an old towel or t-shirt. Guess what, they scratch too. The other problem is even after a proper wash, the paint needs to be protected with a wax or sealant. The carwashes apply what they call a wax, but nothing could be further from the truth.
But there is hope, we can fix this! We have the equipment and expertise to get those swirl marks out, restoring the paint to a better than showroom finish (many cars dealers do not properly detail cars either!). All of our specialty mitts and towels are washed safely after EVERY car.
They are only used approximately 20 times before they are replaced. This helps ensure the paint will not be scratched. What we use on our cars is what we use on yours. Proper washing techniques must be applied again as well to keep them from reoccurring. We can do that too.
